In recognition of academic performance, the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs at University of the Cumberlands (UC) has announced the students named to the Dean's List for the spring 2018 semester.

Loyola University Maryland has announced the members of its fall 2017 Dean's List. In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must achieve a minimum QPA of at least 3.500 for the term, provided that, in the term they have successfully completed courses totaling a minimum of 15 credits.

Dean's List honors are earned by undergraduate students who carry 12 or more credit hours and achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher on the 4.0 scale.

Nearly 500 students were named to Fort Lewis College's Dean's List for the Fall 2017 semester. These students took at least 15 credits of gradable hours and achieved a 3.60 or higher grade point average.

The University of Alabama will award some 2,077 degrees during winter commencement Dec. 16. A total of 12,594 students enrolled during the 2017 fall semester at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 or above or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

In a ceremony on Saturday, April 29, 2017, more than 400 Fort Lewis College graduates and their families packed Whalen Gymnasium for Fall Commencement. The speaker chosen to offer the Commencement Address was Kevin Gover, director of the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of the American Indian.

At the University of Rhode Island's 131st Commencement on Saturday and Sunday, May 20-21, 2017, about 2,600 undergraduate and 650 graduate students became the University's newest alumni.

Selection for this award is based on completing and passing all assigned courses with no grade below a "C" and attaining an academic average of at least 3.4 for courses taken in the spring of 2017.

The Iowa State University College of Liberal Arts and Sciences' Dean's List honors students who were enrolled in 12 credit hours and earned a 3.5 grade point average for the term.

Students received a bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree from Samford University.

Samford University releases dean's lists after the close of the fall and spring semesters each academic year. To qualify for the dean's list, a student must have earned a minimum 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0 while attempting at least 12 credit hours of coursework. Dean's List is the highest academic recognition given by the school at the end of each semester.

Samford University's School of the Arts celebrated the talents of visual arts students, and presented multiple awards and scholarships this spring.

More than 1,300 students were included on the Harding University dean's list for grades achieved during the spring 2017 semester. The dean's list is published each semester by Dr. Marty Spears, University provost, honoring those who have achieved high scholarship. To be eligible, a student must be carrying 12 or more hours with a 3.65 or higher grade-point average and no incompletes.

On April 23, 2017, University of the Cumberlands (UC) recognized outstanding students during the 58th Annual Honors Day program, including those receiving honors.
